Portable toilet hire for weddings – Top tips

21 February 2022

Planning and coordinating large scale weddings involves everything from venue hire to wedding toilet hire so we have put together our top tips for hiring the best luxury toilets for the bride and groom, and all their guests.

How many portable toilets do you need for a wedding?

Our top tip has to be ensuring you have enough toilets for the expected number of guests, taking the gender split into account where necessary. Our most popular luxury trailer units will cater for the following numbers:

Number of guests Unit Features
350-500 Luxury 8 bay toilet 8 cubicles or 4+4
350-500 Luxury 4+2 4 ladies, 2 gents + 4 urinals
250-350 Luxury 3+1 3 ladies, 1 gents + 3 urinals
100-190 Luxury 2+1 2 ladies, 1 gents + 2 urinals

Our blog ‘How many portable toilets do I need?’ has lots more information to help you.

Where should portable toilets be located at a wedding?

Finding the right location for the toilet facilities is vital at any wedding – not too far from the bar but not too close to the buffet. When hiring portable toilets for a wedding, thought should be given to available space for the trailer unit (including the delivery vehicle), as well as access during the event for servicing and/or maintenance. Our customer service team will be happy to help and advise on this for you. All our units can be positioned on grass areas or fields but the ground will need to be firm and flat to ensure optimum functionality. For areas with limited space for access, our luxury 3+1 and 2+1 trailers feature doors on both sides.

Luxury toilet trailers for weddings

There is a wide range of portable toilets available for hire, from plastic portable toilets (perfect for site hire) and plastic disabled toilet hire (ideal for ensuring community events are fully accessible and compliant) to luxury portable toilet trailers. For weddings, however, always choose luxury facilities. Many guests may have travelled a long way to attend and will certainly be in their best attire, so they deserve the best facilities. Our luxury trailers are spacious enough for guests to maintain their appearance and are equipped with excellent lighting, quality mirrors and luxury, indulgent consumables.

Accessibility and equality at weddings

A luxury disabled toilet unit will enable not only wheelchair users but also parents with babies and young children, to access all facilities equally.  With room to manoeuvre wheelchairs and pushchairs, the unit has a ramp, handrail, reduced-height sink and baby changing facilities.
