We Are Albert

In the UK, We Are Albert is an environmental organisation committed to supporting the TV and film industry to reduce waste and its carbon footprint.

At the forefront of environmental sustainability in the film and TV industry since 2011, We Are Albert’s priority is to reduce the environmental impact of the industry. To support this, the organisation grants accredited certification to suppliers who can prove that they meet their own environmental responsibilities by sustainably delivering market leading services and products.

To receive We Are Albert certification, a company must complete an Alber Carbon Footprint that measures their emissions and develop a Carbon Action Plan to further reduce emissions with supporting evidence when this has been carried out.

Vacuum toilets

Our vacuum toilets form part of our luxury toilet range and offer several benefits, including water economy (they use up to 90% less water than a traditional flushing toilet) and being 100% chemical-free. They also facilitate us to be more energy-efficient as we can deliver more units in fewer loads which reduces our fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Fresh flush toilets

Not just energy-saving but water-saving and chemical-free too, the Fresh flush toilet trailers are completely solar powered and require no electricity or generator power. Gravity-fed taps mean no power-heavy pumps are required and each toilet uses just one third of a litre of water per flush. No mains water is required as the units have an integral hot water system and no blue chemicals are used.

Eco-friendly consumables

We source only 100% recycled paper consumables (hand towels and toilet paper) from reputable UK suppliers and we always bulk purchase to help us keep fuel costs to a minimum.

We understand that the film industry doesn’t operate a traditional 9-5 schedule and are happy to organise transportation, delivery and installation to suit. All honey wagons will be delivered in as new condition, steam cleaned and fully stocked. Discreet servicing and emptying can be arranged and, as upper tier licence holders with The Environment Agency, we will remove and ethically dispose of all waste.
